Frequently asked questions

How far in advance does Machu Picchu sell out?

Machu Picchu tickets often sell out weeks or months in advance, especially in the peak season from June to November. For the most popular circuits and dates we recommend booking at least two to three months ahead to be safe.

Do sold-out dates ever reopen?

Yes. Cancelled and unpaid tickets are released back into the official system, so a sold-out date can reopen with little warning. Join the waitlist below and we will email you if a ticket opens for your date.

Which circuit sells out first?

Huayna Picchu sells out first and fastest because it has the smallest daily capacity of the three circuits. If climbing Huayna Picchu matters to you, book as early as you can, often around four months ahead.

What should I do if my date is sold out?
